Well, I was hoping to report a final departure of our cars for the UK, but our ship, the Sofia Celeste has been on an interesting journey.
Having left Capetown for Durban and then left Durban for Port Elizabeth, the ship circled outside the port for days until giving up and heading for Coega just up the coast.
After a quick turnaround the ship was out again heading for Capetown and then spent three days tootling up and down until today when she finally got permission to dock.
As soon as the ship sets sale for Europe, I will be able to give an estimated time of arrival.
However (!) the continental cars are on a ship that has it’s destination as Thames Gateway on the 4th May. So I can’t say yet when they will arrive pack in the Netherlands.
Let’s hope lockdown ends in time for us to pick up our cars when they eventually arrive back in Europe.
More to come when there is news.
