Departure Day

January 31, 2018 //  by Global Rally//  2 Comments

Today is the day that some of the team leave the UK and head out to Vietnam.  The first day of the rally is 3rd February so this gives the advance team members a couple of days to acclimatize to the heat and to be reunited with the cars after their own journeys by sea.  And to iron out any last minute kinks ahead of the rest of the team’s arrival later in the week.

In fact as we hit publish on this post, the flight to Ho Chi Minh will just be taking off.  Here is Neil all ready for the off!

The plan is that we will update the blog each day with photos and stories from the previous day, technology permitting!  So if you know people who might be interested in finding out what has been going on then do encourage them to subscribe (down at the bottom of the page on the home page, just needs their email address and then updates will land in their inboxes).

You can follow along on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram too.   The links for all of those are here:

And if you receive any pictures or updates that you would like to have included in the updates, do drop tanya@mummybarrow.com an email and we will include those in the next post.

Here’s to us getting the first updates from Vietnam in the next day or two!

Who are the GRO?

We are a non-profit making organisation created for people who relish a challenge and an interest in classic cars. Combining these two things allows our members to explore the world.
The charge for all rallies will be “at cost”, save for a pre-stated administration fee for organising the event and the shared cost of the service / medical crew. We are able to do this as we will also be participating in the adventure and the countries are ones we wish to visit.
