Roberta is one of 5,900 Rover 80s produced between 1960 and 1962, belonging to David and Lorraine she is car number 8
She has a 4 cylinder 2,286cc pushrod engine which is the same engine used in the 1960 model Land Rover. With overdrive, the car will cruise comfortably at 70 mph. The car is modified for long distance rallying and has successfully completed a number of endurance rallies. In 2000, the car placed second in the Team Prize in the 23,000 miles, 80 Days Round The World Rally.
It was on the Round the World Rally that this photograph of David was taken with Tony who joins again on this rally, and features with his car tomorrow.
To date, the vehicle has covered some 220,000 miles and visited at least once, 42 countries, and completed the following rallies
