Monday January 1st

January 1, 2018 //  by Global Rally//  2 Comments

Happy New Year!

Here’s hoping that you had a lovely evening and are currently enjoying a quiet Monday.

It seems that Alan’s car didn’t leave quite as planned from Felixstowe on 29th, but has been sheltering from Storm Dylan before heading further out to sea.    Which makes for an interesting tracking picture today!

No other updates today for the other ships but we will bring them to you later in the week.  Hard to believe that this time next month we will all be en route to be reunited with the cars and getting ready for the off.

PS don’t forget you can sign up to updates (or let friends and family know that they can if they want to keep up to date when you are away) by subscribing at the bottom of the home page on the blog.  Click here:  Global Rally  And scroll to the bottom and just pop your email address in on the right hand side.

We had been pondering why the vessel has been circling between Torquay and Weymouth for 2 days. Thanks for the info, we do prefer them to avoid the storm.

Who are the GRO?

We are a non-profit making organisation created for people who relish a challenge and an interest in classic cars. Combining these two things allows our members to explore the world.
The charge for all rallies will be “at cost”, save for a pre-stated administration fee for organising the event and the shared cost of the service / medical crew. We are able to do this as we will also be participating in the adventure and the countries are ones we wish to visit.
