Tuesday 12th December

December 12, 2017 //  by Global Rally//  Leave a Comment

Slightly worrying yesterday when Marine Traffic’s notification emails kept popping up saying “ship is out of range”.  And huge sighs of relief when it came back into range moments later.   Deep down you know all is well but it doesn’t stop that initial moment of panic!   Getting close to the Suez Canal today, as the above picture of the position at 11am today shows.   It also shows just how busy that stretch of water is, so it will be interesting to see how long it takes to get through.

We are still waiting for the other ship information for the remaining cars but we will share when we have do have it, and track those ships daily too.

Hard to believe that this time in two weeks it will be Boxing Day!

Does anybody have anything interesting on their Christmas list for the rally?    Something that somebody else might think “Ooh I hadn’t thought about that”.  Do share if you do!

Who are the GRO?

We are a non-profit making organisation created for people who relish a challenge and an interest in classic cars. Combining these two things allows our members to explore the world.
The charge for all rallies will be “at cost”, save for a pre-stated administration fee for organising the event and the shared cost of the service / medical crew. We are able to do this as we will also be participating in the adventure and the countries are ones we wish to visit.
